CrossFit Morning Workout

CrossFit is a strength and conditioning fitness program created by former gymnast, Greg Glassman, in the 1980s. CrossFit training is not sport-specific and promotes a broad and general overall physical fitness.

CrossFit maintains that proficiency is required in each of 10 fitness domains: cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, agility, balance, coordination, and accuracy.

Workouts typically call for participants to work hard and fast, often with no rest.  CrossFit training can utilize free weights, pull-up bars and many calisthenics exercises.  Training may also include running, climbing ropes and walls, jumping up on boxes or carrying odd objects.

Like many fitness programs, CrossFit training can be intense and competitive, but an essential element of the CrossFit methodology is that workouts should always be scaled and varied to the individual.
