What is NAF Employment?

NAF employment is considered federal employment. It is, however, different from federal civil service employment because the monies used to pay the salaries of NAF employees come from a different source. Civil service positions are paid for by money appropriated by Congress. NAF money, on the other hand, is self-generated by Air Force clubs, bowling centers, golf courses, and other activities that use NAF employees.

The 56th Services' mission is to maintain readiness by offering programs which promote fitness, esprit de corps, and enhance the quality of life for the Luke Air Force Base community. We strive to meet our patrons’ needs by providing excellent service, clean and neat facilities, and by offering a variety of quality programs and activities. To accomplish this, we have many job opportunities available.

The HRO’s mission is to provide efficient and effective management and administration to the Air Force NAF Personnel Program. The Human Resources Director acts for the installation commander in administering the appointing authority delegated from the Secretary of the Air Force. HRO provides advice and assistance to management in meeting personnel needs and solving personnel problems while insuring programs and actions comply fully with the spirit and intent of laws, regulations, and policies.

For a complete listing of jobs throughout Services, please stop by the HRO in building 1150, suite 1172A, located on the 1st floor of the Mission Support Group building (a.k.a the “Block House”) Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Applications are accepted in the HRO, Building 1150 (Block House) or at the employment drop boxes located across from the HRO or at the Falcon Dunes Golf Course located at 15100 W Northern Ave (approximately 1 mile west from the intersection of Northern Ave and Litchfield Rd).
